Featuring guest speakers and the viewing of Sikh Empire relics in 3d.

As part of the Anglo Sikh Wars project, in 2016/2017 we showcased for the first time 3d technologies through 3d modelling, virtual reality and augmented reality. We have toured the UK and overseas with our 3d touchscreen monitor where thousands of people have viewed Sikh objects in 3d and as a result, we have received international acclaim for our work.

What is the project?

Since 2018, The Sikh Museum Initiative has been modelling Sikh relics and artefacts – some of these will now be launched on a new website and can be viewed through virtual reality headsets. Some objects are from the Sikh Empire and link the Court of Maharajah Ranjit Singh through to the suffragette Sophia Duleep Singh hence highlighting the relationship between Sikh and British communities. We will be adding new objects throughout the year, culminating in a full interactive 3d Sikh online museum.

Launch

We look forward to seeing you on the day where we will have a number of guest speakers discussing the importance of Sikh history and heritage.
